Courtney was looking for her first opportunity to fish out on the boat, and while late August isn't usually the best time for that, we managed to do okay pulling a few walleyes up to 23 inches out of the weed lines with spinners and crawlers. They absolutely would not bite on anything else...believe me, we tried!
Poor Courtney also lost two really nice walleye at the boat, one that we clearly saw and was probably the biggest of the trip, but hopefully that keeps her coming back for more! We also had plenty of largemouth bass and some panfish and perch in the mix.
We don't normally spend much time out fishing in Minnesota, but we thought we'd try something new, and it's a neat medium sized lake with plenty of structure to hold fish.
